When and why did you decide to focus on the wholesale market?
In June 2023 the Single Use Ain’t Sexy brand was acquired by Buzz Products, a leading global travel amenities business.
As such, we switched our focus to the global wholesale travel market where we could have a much greater environmental impact and ceased operating as a direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand in Australia.
What will happen to my subscription?
Our focus on the wholesale travel market from June 2023 onwards means we have deactivated our direct-to-consumer e-commerce subscriptions in Australia. This ensures no subscription orders or payments will be processed moving forward.
What am I going to do with your reusable bottles now that I cannot buy your refill tablets? Can these be returned? I don’t want them to end up in the landfill!
Great question! Just because we've shifted our focus to the wholesale travel market, it does not mean your sustainable hand soap journey ends here. You can still continue re-using our refillable bottles with foaming soap tablets from a range of other independent sustainable Aussie brands such as Happy Human, Green Bubble, Genie, The Habitat, Elimin8 & more.

Tell Me About The Product
What are the tablet ingredients?
Sodium lauroyl glutamate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, citric acid anhydrous, sodium benzoate & fragrance.
Are your ingredients non-toxic?
Yes. Our non-toxic products are formulated using safe ingredients that are gluten free and cruelty free. We do not use any harmful ingredients on the EWG Unacceptable List, a globally recognised standard.
We are currently developing a formula without SLS.
Is your hand soap antibacterial?
Our soap is effective at removing bacteria using surfactants like Citric Acid, which is a great natural antibacterial agent.
That said, we don’t believe that ‘killing 99.9% of bacteria’ with harsh chemical-based anti-bacterial agents - essentially pesticides - is a good thing.
These will typically kill the microbes that are beneficial for maintaining a healthy environment and we don’t want to kill the good bacteria.
That’s why our formulation is non-toxic and doesn't contain nasty ingredients used in antibacterial agents.
How am I helping the planet?
Each tablet you use will save another single-use plastic soap bottle from landfill (you can top up on $3 + GST tablet refills here).
You buy our reusable glass bottles once & never throw them away. Each bottle can save up to 25 single-use plastic soap bottles from landfill each year.
But why are your tablets individually wrapped?
Good question! Our soap tablets are individually wrapped in kraft paper with a thin layer of foil & plastic on the inside to preserve their two-year shelf life. Each one needs to be protected like this, to ensure no air or moisture spoils the tablets before usage.
Each individual wrapper is small, lightweight and minimises waste production by replacing one single-use plastic soap bottle. We are currently developing a compostable version of the wrapper.
Making Your Soap
Was my bottle supposed to arrive empty?
Yes. You just reduced your carbon footprint by up to 80% because we didn’t ship you any water.
Simply fill your empty bottle with tap water at home, drop in the tablet, pump the foam & wash your hands.
How do I make my foaming hand soap?
Simply follow these four easy steps:
1. FILL our reusable glass bottle with water
2. DROP one dissolvable soap tablet in the bottle
3. PUMP the foam & wash your hands
4. REPEAT by using refills, not plastic bottles

How many tablets should I use each time?
You only need to use one tablet per bottle.
You can reorder $3 tablet refills here.
What temperature should the water be?
Use warm tap water and the tablet should dissolve in less than 30 minutes.
Should I shake the bottle?
No. Just drop in the tablet and let it dissolve on its own.
Don’t worry if you’ve already shaken the bottle, the soap will survive.
Does the bottle have to be completely empty before refilling it?
Yes. Rinse your bottle after each use, refill it with warm tap water and drop in another tablet.
How much soap does one tablet make?
Each tablet creates 250ml of foaming hand soap, the exact amount of liquid solution our reusable glass bottles are designed to hold.
Can I use my own bottle with your soap tablets?
Yes you can use your own bottle, as long as it has a foaming pump top.
Having said that, our reusable glass bottles are specifically designed to be used with our tablets.
One tablet creates the exact amount of foaming solution our 250ml bottle holds.
How long will 1 bottle of soap last?
This varies based on your household size. Each tablet should last the same amount of time as a normal 250ml bottle of foaming hand soap, approximately 2-3 weeks.
